Anda, llévame lejos con tu violín
a universos donde el ritmo es afín,
canta unos versos claros a mi princesa.

Dibujando alegrías
haciendo del tiempo un manantial
huapangos que improvisan
entre la risa y el mezcal,
o cantando dolores de la tristeza de un jacal,
de algún amor perdido
tal vez un héroe inmortal.

Oh indio de ágil verso
poeta del viento
es tu jarana ríos, valles y montes
con tu falsete largo como cenzontle,

huapanguero, quisiera expresarte aquí mi sentimiento.

Rey del viento de la Huasteca, así eres tú.

Drawing joys
making a spring out of time
